We collaborate with organisations and businesses
These collaborations involve the preparation and conduct of statistical analyses, the drafting of reports and the design of sampling plans.
The specific requirements for these analyses vary from case to case, ranging from, for example, evaluation of the impact of policies or business decisions to analysing biomedical experiments.
We offer competence in the design and execution of data analysis, drafting and interpretation of reporting, and the application of advanced statistical models and techniques for evaluating interventions or market actions, with a focus on the accurate study of complex phenomena. For example, models for forecasting data relating to: tourism; financial phenomena, including those associated with the ‘green’ sector; and demographic processes linked to the impact of an ageing population on the workforce.
Statistical literacy for society
One of the needs our department addresses is teaching people how to interpret data correctly, for example regarding demographic trends, migration, birth rates and ageing.
To this end, we offer consultancy services and public outreach activities, such as the publication of our Bulletin.
