We are committed to promoting and developing research and training in the field of statistical sciences and, more generally, the most advanced methods of quantitative analysis.
Internationalisation and interdisciplinarity in research are the strengths of our department, which are increasingly being encouraged to consolidate the quality and impact of our scientific output, alongside training initiatives and internal discussions on topics relating to scientific evaluation, such as Research Day and Departmental Research Seminars.

The programme trains highly qualified statisticians capable of applying the most up-to-date statistical analysis techniques in scientific research.
Collaboration with public and private organisations, both nationally and internationally, takes the form of study grants, internships or international mobility for PhD students at institutions and companies.
